Bowling Green, Kentucky (WBKO) – Bowling Green Business Women, a local nonprofit founded to empower and advance women, introduced a new president and made an annual donation to Glory Baby Ministry. I was.
Erin Barber, president-elect of Bowling Green Business Women, said she is excited about the new opportunities the group will find next year.
“Bowling Green Business Women is about networking and aims to bring together, uplift, encourage and help women connect. I’m really excited to see the new events added to the calendar to help bring everyone together and lift everyone’s spirits,” said Barber.
Each year, the organization donates 10% of membership dues to select women-led or women-benefiting nonprofits. The nonprofit selected for this donation was Glory Baby Ministry, a group that creates and ships comfort packages for families grieving the loss of children, including miscarriage, stillbirth, and early infant loss.
“It doesn’t matter when the loss was. If you lost a child 50 years ago, you can request a package from us,” said executive director of Glory Baby Ministry and former president of Bowling Green Business Women. “When we lost money in 2010, nothing was like we knew. We want some closure for the families grieving these losses.”
Bowling Green businesswomen meet for “lunch and learn” at the Bowling Green Country Club on the second Thursday of each month. Gatherings usually start at 11:30 am.
“You don’t have to be a business owner or work for a company. It’s a great place to find ,” Barber said.
