DraftKings president Matt Kalish, one of three men to start the company out of his Watertown apartment, said he was thrilled that legalized sports betting would soon begin in Massachusetts.
“It means a lot. I mean, I was born in Lowell and have lived in the area all my life. My family is here. Everyone was always asking, ‘Massachusetts goes through sports betting. When will it be?’ The time has finally come,” Karish said.
Soon, Massachusetts residents won’t have to cross state lines to bet on DraftKings. Kalish said he hopes to have it operational in the state by March Madness.
