Blue North established the Northern Kentucky Entrepreneurship Fund with Horizon Community Fund to support entrepreneurial work in Northern Kentucky.
Horizon Community Funds President and CEO Nancy Grayson said: “There is currently a shortage of funding specific to entrepreneurs in Northern Kentucky. to.”
Blue North supports entrepreneurs, creators and builders in Northern Kentucky through a variety of programs and services.
Blue North Executive Director Dave Knox said: “The Northern Kentucky Entrepreneurship Fund is a major step in that mission, providing our community with the means to support entrepreneurs who create thriving communities across the region.”
Main Street Ventures is a key partner and funding provider for this initiative. This organization provides equity-free funding in the form of grants to entrepreneurs throughout the Greater Cincinnati area.
“Blue North and Horizon Community Funds are two great organizations supporting entrepreneurship in Northern Kentucky, and we look forward to working with them on this new initiative,” said Executive Lead, Main Street Ventures. Brianna Dzuricsko said. “We look forward to supporting even more founders who continue to make the entire Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati area great places to live, work and build.”
The Northern Kentucky Entrepreneurship Fund was supported by the first donation from the RC Dahl Foundation. Main Street Ventures has awarded its first grant from the fund to Down the Road Spice Co., a Covington-based company.
Main Street Ventures is currently accepting applications for its first round of 2023 grants. The application deadline is Monday, February 13th.
