Beanie Siegel has called Roc-A-Fella co-founder Damon Dash “the Malcolm X of hip-hop.”
During an interview with Personal Party PodcastBeans and Freeway were asked to describe Dame in one word, and both Roc artists had nothing but praise for their former bosses.
Freeway said Dame was loyal, and that Beanie tried hard for everyone under Roc, comparing him to the late civil rights leader.
“Dame is going to be like Malcolm X in hip-hop,” Beanie said. If you look at him, he likes X and he likes Malcolm.”

Beanie Sigel and Freeway were rock-a-fella heavyweights in the late 90s and mid-2000s, with hit records like “You, Me, Him and Her,” “What We Do,” and “Roc the Mic.” contributed to “Flipside” and so on.
