Bradford’s ambitious tech-minded entrepreneurs are encouraged to sign up for a free accelerator program to help grow their business.
Launching in early 2023, the Northern Max Accelerator is an intensive 10-week program for companies with growth ambitions, pre-launch or less than 3 years old.
The program is in its sixth run in the city and has so far supported over 100 entrepreneurs, created 44 new jobs and accessed over £300,000 in grants, loans and funding and received support to accelerate business growth plans. .
Backed by the business support program AD:VENTURE, the Northern Max Accelerator operates in Bradford but is open to all eligible businesses throughout the Leeds City area.
This includes a range of hands-on support from our delegates to help you develop a business plan, set goals, understand your target audience and route to market, and consider future business growth strategies.
There are expert workshops, expert mentoring, funding opportunities, and finally potential investment opportunities by pitching to a panel of experts.
Northern Max will continue to be operated this year by Greenborough Management Limited on behalf of AD:VENTURE.
Michelle Davis, Head of Business Development at Greenborough, said:
“Participants will learn how to maximize commercial opportunities despite the continued economic recovery following the impact of Covid-19. We look forward to providing these young companies with real and exciting benefits.”
AD:VENTURE is partially funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), along with other funding and delivery partners across the City of Leeds region, including The Bradford Council.
Alex Ross-Shaw, Rehabilitation, Planning and Transportation Portfolio Holder, Bradford Council, said:
“The aim is to help young digital and technology-focused businesses scale, make the region attractive to the tech community and investment, and bring much-needed jobs to the region.
“We know it’s been an intense 10 weeks, but we also know that a business with strong roots will be ready to expand and remain resilient in the face of future challenges.”
The support doesn’t stop at the end of the 10 weeks, as AD:VENTURE supports businesses through age 3 and provides access to mentoring, fundraising, and other workshops.
