Albuquerque, New Mexico (KRQE) – Businesses around Albuquerque have been struggling lately. They work on a variety of criminal issues including burglary and vandalism.

Culligan Bottled Water owner Ed Wolfe is at a loss. His company, near San Mateo and Lomas, deals with one issue after another, from finding bullet holes in work cars to weekly vandalism to trucks.
“Every time I paint, someone else will come out there and say, ‘Hey, what do you know? I’m going to practice tagging.'”
Light bulbs have been stolen from fixtures, security cameras have been torn down, and even city-issued “no trespassing” signs have been removed from walls.
“It would be better to say that anything you put outside the building will be gone within 24 to 48 hours.”
The latest issue occurred last Thursday, breaking into the company. Wolfe claims someone smashed his front door in, costing him $8 in change but causing him over $13,000 in damage. This is something many businesses in Albuquerque are familiar with.
“We are all dealing with the same thing. The level of frustration is high.”
Wolf sets up camp right outside the back door and blames the homeless for leaving trash and feces behind. He has reported the problem to 311, six times since the beginning of the year. He said there was no response from the city. Despite his growing frustration, Wolfe said the problem wouldn’t get in the way of his business.
