MT. Horeb, Wisconsin (WMTV) – Mount Horeb police are looking for a man who stole expensive equipment from a small business. The entire crime was caught on surveillance cameras.
On Saturday, Jan. 7, a man walked into the store and hung around for several minutes, according to a Sloan Implement employee. He wore a fluorescent yellow hat and jacket, sunglasses, and a face mask.As the employees were distracted, the man nonchalantly picked up his steel TS 700 saw and left the store. rice field. The suspect then got into his truck, a full-sized red Chevy pickup. The truck had bed covers and a salt spreader in the rear.
Employees say it wasn’t until days later that they realized the saw was missing. They scrubbed surveillance video and caught the thief in the act. Employees say the saw retails for about $1,800 and is in high demand. This product has been on backorder for several months.
