milwaukee – In the approximately 36 hours between the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 21, and the evening of Sunday, Oct. 23, at least eight shootings occurred in Milwaukee over the weekend, leaving 15 people injured and one dead.
Friday
25th and Scott
A shooting in the country left a 19-year-old woman injured at around 1:00 a.m. Friday morning near 25:00, Scott.
The victim showed up at the hospital for treatment.
A man in his 20s was arrested, police said.

Saturday
Milwaukee police responded to at least five shootings on Saturday.
32nd and Center
At around 1am, a 39-year-old man was shot near 32nd and Center and was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries. Police said he was expected to survive.
Fondue Lac and Hoyt
Taken at Fond du Lac and Hoyt in Milwaukee
Six people, including a 17-year-old boy, were shot and wounded near Fond du Lac and Hoyt around 1:20 am on Saturday.
About 100 shell casings were found at the scene, police said.
95th and brown deer
A 51-year-old Milwaukee man was shot near 95th Street shortly before noon, in what appeared to be an altercation with Brown Deer. He was treated in hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to his leg.

38th and the Deadly Shooting of Congress
A 30-year-old man was shot dead near the 38th and parliament around 7pm on Saturday.
unknown location
Around 11pm, a 17-year-old boy showed up at the hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound. Investigators are investigating where and why the shooting occurred.
Sunday
34 days and lights
Milwaukee 34th Wright Shooting
Four people were shot near 34th and Wright early Sunday morning.
Police said they were investigating reckless driving around 1 a.m. when they heard gunshots and rushed to help the victim.
A 16-year-old girl, two 19-year-old men, and a 20-year-old man were taken to hospital and treated for their injuries. Police said they were expected to survive.
Some Milwaukee residents say riots usually erupt in warmer weather, and so did weekends.
Drew Stock said, “All of a sudden, there was a boom and a gunshot. “We knew that in warmer weather, violence would happen, because those things go hand in hand.”
Photographing Fond du Lac and Hoyt
Stock just moved into the neighborhood near 34th and Wright before police announced four people were shot there early Sunday morning.
“Suddenly I heard gunshots, probably at least five or six shots. They were just about to jump to the ground,” Stock said. “It was just chaos outside. People were running around, screaming, looking for their families. A few minutes later, police came in from all directions.”
Jon Jones lives near Fond du Lac and Hoyt, and police say six people were shot Saturday.
“You get numb to it these days,” Jones said. “We’re always looking out the window — all the time.”
94th and Thurston
At approximately 11:25 pm, a 29-year-old man showed up at the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to his leg. The shooting occurred near Thurston and his 94th around 10:45 pm. No suspect information is available at this time. The situation is under investigation.
