milwaukee – An 18-year-old Milwaukee man has been charged with first-degree willful murder following the Oct. 14 shooting.
Prosecutors say surveillance video showed Andrew Menace getting out of the car.
Police were first called to the scene of the car accident near 34th and Vine. A still-running Nissan hit a parked van. The man in the driver’s seat collapsed, was bleeding and was unresponsive.

Officers at the crash site found two plastic packages containing three used ammunition casings, a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, and a T-shirt on the Nissan’s rear floorboards.
An autopsy revealed that the victim had been shot multiple times in the back of the head, according to the criminal complaint. In the victim’s pocket was a receipt time-stamped at 10:20 p.m. on October 13th. This is from a gas station near 27th Street and Burley, about two miles (2 miles) from the crash site.

Police went to the gas station and reviewed the surveillance video. The complaint says the victim and Menese were seen in a video conference there. Menese walked off with her flaming hot bag of Cheetos and the two got into a Nissan and drove off with Menese in the backseat.
Around 11:50 pm on October 13, the complaint says that surveillance of the gas station showed Nissan to be back and Menese to exit. A few minutes later, Menese returned to his car and set off again before midnight.
Around 12:04 am on October 14, according to the complaint, the Nissan slowly came into view on home surveillance video from around the 34th and the site of the Vine crash. According to the lawsuit, the man jumping out of the car matched Menese’s description from surveillance video at the gas station.

Police took fingerprints from Nissan. According to the complaint, the back window print, T-shirt packaging, and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos all matched Menese.
Once in police custody, Menese initially denied knowing the man seen at the gas station, according to the complaint. According to the complaint, he denied returning to the gas station around 11:50 p.m. on Oct. 13, “at a girl’s house.” claim.
According to court records, Menese first appeared in court on November 16 and his bond was set at $100,000.
