Milwaukee — It’s Sunday for the NFL’s Conference Championship. The winner advances to the Super Bowl.
San Francisco will play Game 1 in Philadelphia on Sunday at 2:00 PM CT, followed by Cincinnati in Kansas City at 5:30 PM CT.
Here are three things to watch out for in this weekend’s NFL games.
very painful
Philadelphia coach Nick Siriani compares his quarterback Jaylen Hurts to Michael Jordan in terms of impact on the team. Hurts was on the MVP track until a shoulder injury forced him to miss two games late in the season.
He looked fine last weekend in the Eagles’ 38-7 victory over the Giants.
dominant defense
The 49ers are having success with rookie quarterback Brock Purdy. But it’s the San Francisco defense that made it to the NFL’s top rankings. Nick Bosa and his 49ers defense will challenge the Eagles offense.
Expect San Francisco defensive coordinator Demeko Ryans to become the NFL’s head coach sometime next season.
young gun
The AFC Championship is a rematch of last year’s match against Cincinnati in Kansas City. The Bengals won last year. In fact, in his quarterback matchup, the young superstar Joe Burrow is 3-0 against Patrick Mahomes. Cincinnati pushed forward despite an injury on the offensive line. Former Green Bay his Southwest star Max Sharping has done a solid job filling in the guard.
Sunday’s winner will play Super Bowl LVII on Sunday, February 12 in Glendale, Arizona.
