A florist in Jackson that has been in business for 21 years burned down Friday night after an event. Banks’ flower shop on Flag Chapel Road burned down after a reception was held at the location. said her Timekia Ford, one of the owner’s daughters. Her daughters say her father has been a pillar of the community, including providing free flowers at funerals. Host a weekly Bible study. The owner is determined to keep the business open, she said.

“It was hard to see my father’s hard-earned business go up in flames. There’s a fire station across the street,” said Timekia Ford, one of the owner’s daughters.
Daughters say their father has been a pillar of the community, from providing free flowers at funerals to hosting weekly Bible studies.
The owner says he is determined to keep the business open.
