Non-alcoholic sales are already trending upward, no matter what gimmicks are launched each month. But why stop there? The folks at HOP WTR are really pushing their commitment to Dry January by launching HOP LOCKR. Yes, with HOP LOCKR, a customer can resist the temptation to drink by locking beer and liquor until his February 1st. Of course, the HOP LOCKR also comes with his HOP WTR for free. Athens, Ohio-based Little Fish Brewing’s 2023 Wild & Local League was a hit for several reasons. This is a premium membership (limited to 80 people) that gives dedicated fans exclusive access to smaller releases. We usually talk one barrel at a time. Backyard Beer Club for Crooked Hammocks
Since its founding in Lewis, Delaware seven years ago, Crooked Hammock Brewery has been obsessed with creating a never-ending culinary oasis. Crooked Hammock’s latest addition to this atmosphere is the new Backyard Beer Club. This is a new members-only experience aimed at truly rewarding Crooked’s guests who want to bring that good vibe home (and have more opportunities to relax at the brewery). And we dig it. Rooftop IGOOBAR space at Braxton Brewing
Cincinnati’s Braxton Brewing Co. has taken a very How nice igloo bar. These offer an elevated experience, not just height, to create the feel of a luxury ski resort. Each igloo can accommodate up to 8 people and includes a personal Bluetooth speaker. Read about it here.
Horsefly Brewing’s Southwest Fresh Fest and Pickin’ Party
Fresh hop! Horsefly Brewing Co. knows this and is hosting the first Fresh Hop Beer Festival in Southwest Colorado. The Southwest Fresh Fest and Pickin’ Party at Billy Goat Hop Farm showcased all fresh hop beers from breweries in and outside the Four Corners area. The picking was accompanied by live bluegrass music and yard games. Please check this out for details.
One Good Party at Madtree Brewing
The One Good Party is MadTree Brewing’s biggest party of the year, filled with music, food, activities and, best of all, a friendly beer contest that highlights four non-profit partners. The Cincinnati Zoo, Adventure Crew, Cincinnati Parks Foundation, and Groundwork ORV each brewed their own beers and served them exclusively at parties. All are part of his MadTree’s 1% For the Planet network, where MadTree donates his 1% of all sales to environmentally sustainable nonprofits. Please check this out for details.
Lord Hobo’s 6.17K Charity Run
Lord Hobo Brewing wanted to expand its 617 brands this year. It was done the traditional way with yet another new variant, the 617 Lager. He then hosted his first 6.17K charity run to benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank. They donated 50% of the event’s proceeds to the Greater Boston Food Bank, whose mission is to “End Hunger Here.” It is New England’s largest hunger relief organization and he is one of the nation’s largest food banks. Royal Docks promotes beer releases with secret prizes all over town
People love summer, beer, games and prizes. The Royal Docks Brewing Company of Canton, Ohio had the perfect gimmick to tie it all together. The idea is that the brewery has “lost all its patio chairs” and it’s up to the community to find them. We placed them in locations around several counties in the northeastern state and dropped clues about where they were via email and social media. Clown shoes augmented reality beer can
Packaging ideas used to dominate the list of Marketing Ideas of the Year, but in 2022, we’ve seen it all. Well, leave it to the quirky folks at Boston-based Clown Shoes Beer to keep innovating by adding augmented reality to their space cake tins. Designed in partnership with Australia-based augmented reality app Swigr, the Clown Shoes Space Cake Double IPA’s augmented reality label offers five different settings that you can switch between. Three Denver Breweries Launch NFT for IRL Event
Here, our digital life and our real life blend beautifully. Denver Beer Co., Great Divide Brewing Co., and Resolute Brewing Co. have launched exclusive NFTs associated with exclusive events. NFT buyers (and guests) can join the Craft Beer Tour and Party Bus for the summer, with a total of 18 of his NFTs available for purchase, with six provided by each participating brewery. Every NFT is unique and features artwork inspired by retro video games. Please check this out for details.
Dunes Brewing launches NFT Mug Club with valuable virtual and tangible
Another interesting and irreplaceable idea is Dunes Brewing of Port Orange, Florida, which is the first-ever beachside brewery to develop an NFT-only mug club. His new NFT-powered limited-edition Mag Club contains both tangible and virtual assets as a value. Dunes NFT Mug Club starts with his 100 mugs. A freshly made membership, over five years he unlocks perks in one of three tiers (Special, Rare, Ultra Rare). This is another very interesting idea. Please check this out for details.
Anderson Valley Brewing Promotes Price Stabilization Amid Big Beer Price Increases
Sometimes being honest with the status quo is the best promotion. And timing the big guy is never a bad thing. While the CEO of Big He Beer has been talking about inflation and raising beer prices, Northern California’s Anderson Valley He Brewing Company (AVBC) has announced that it will not do any such thing.
AVBC President Kevin McGee said: He also backed it up with some degree of transparency about their costs and some of the initiatives they took to make this possible in the first place.
Cinderlands Beer uses leftover bread from nearby restaurants to create new beer to fight food shortages
Italian restaurant DiAnoia’s Eatery in Pittsburgh and nearby Cinderlands Beer Co. have launched more sustainable craft beer to benefit 412 Food Rescue with Con Pane, an IPA made with bread sustainably sourced from DiAnoia’s Eatery. While creating, we have launched a cool partnership to help fight food waste. The beer’s name comes from the Latin com (with) and panis (bread), or the Italian con Pane, so we stick with the word companion. Industry-Wide Make Peace Not War Beer Label for Ukraine Relief Effort

Foolproof Brewing Donates Proceeds of Woman’s Life Liberty Beer to Human Rights Support in Iran
Similarly, female-owned Foolproof Brewing has introduced a new lager, Woman Life Liberty, inspired by the revolution that began in Iran in September. Pawtucket Brewery will donate 10% of his total beer sales to the National Union for Democracy of Iran (NUFDI). Other local establishments, including his PTX Lounge in Cranston and The Avery in Providence, also attended the rally. Its release coincided perfectly with the US vs. Iran World Cup match. Mini Festival Week at March First Brewing
Anniversaries are always a great time to go big, get creative and of course celebrate. March First Brewing in Sycamore Township, Ohio celebrated its fifth anniversary by revisiting its favorite annual festivals all weekend leading up to its actual anniversary on March 1st. Saturday. LUKI Brewery celebrates Nurse’s Week with a benefit beer
Honoring rarely-acknowledged, everyday local heroes, such as nurses, teachers, and social workers, is always a winner in CBB’s books. Albada, Colorado-based brewery Nurses’ recognition of his week went to a personal note from LUKI Brewery co-owner Cammy Smith. LUKI employs individuals at nursing schools, and Smith himself is the Director of Clinical Services for the Colorado Visiting Nurses Association.
“The last few years have been rough for healthcare in general, but many nurses are leaving the industry feeling overworked and burnt out,” says Smith. “Nurses are such an important part of our healthcare system.
